In 1994 in Lithuania a joint Lithuanian and Estonian company Travonas, selling Avon products, has been established. The first shipment was only 7 boxes and only 3 persons worked at the company at that time. The business was growing and expanding and in 1999 Ltd. JSC “Avon Cosmetics” was founded – Avon’s official representative in Lithuania.
Today JSC “Avon Cosmetics” is a part of the world’s largest direct selling company selling cosmetics, perfume and accessories – Avon Products Inc. The company belongs to the region of Central and Eastern European countries and is the market leader in the Baltics. In 2006 for the very excellent financial results and constant growth of JSC “Avon Cosmetics” received one of the most important AVON international awards.
In Lithuania the AVON head office and logistics center for the Baltic States and Finland is located. Operations, Sales, Sales Promotions, Customer Service, Marketing, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources departments employ more than 100 employees of AVON. Ordered products are packaged in the Logistics Centre in Vilnius and orders are shipped here to Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian and Finland Beauty Consultants. There are AVON beauty centers in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda, and they every day serve and advise hundreds of AVON customers.
