Direct selling industry operating in the Baltics as well representatives from international organizations, governmental institutions, academia and media gathered at the international conference on 20th of April in Tallinn, Estonia to discuss various topics regarding direct selling business.

On the key messages in the Conference was the results of the public survey regarding consumers attitude towards direct selling in all three Baltic States. General Secretary for Baltic States introduced the Baltic DSAs’ activities and their cooperation model, the Executive director of the Federation of European Direct Selling Associations (FEDSA) Maurits Bruggink presented European regulatory affairs (Consumer Rights Directive), while the Executive director of the World Federation of Direct Selling Associations Tamuna Gabilaia presented global Direct Selling industry statistics and trends, unveiled the Global Ethics toolkit and recognition program. Polish DSA shared their experience about students education and entrepreneurship program, meanwhile the Director of the European Consumer Centre of Estonia Kristina Vaksmaa talked about consumers rights, cooperation of the Baltic States Consumer Protection Authorities, complaints handling and what we can and should together do in order to enhance the consumers rights protection.
